Advisory group

Rational Rec is working with an advisory group of senior professionals in the art world to help realise our commissions.

Our advisory group consists of:

Donald Smith, Director of Exhibitions, Chelsea Space: public exhibition space based at Chelsea College of Art and Design focussing on experimental curatorial projects.

Beth Greenacre, co-Director, Rokeby Gallery: independent commercial gallery for contemporary art from the UK and beyond, who initiated the new work Stagefright, a collaboration between Laura Buckley, David MacLean and Haroon Mirza, which was inspirational for Rational Rec Projects’ development.

Tim Jones is the Executive Director of motiroti. He is a Creative Producer and consultant, active across artistic disciplines, who has put the values of innovation and cultural democracy at the heart of his work over 20 years. Tim previously worked as Director of Solar Associates, for clients including the Cultural Leadership Programme, the Arts Council of England, LIFT and many others. Tim has a blog and can be followed on Twitter.

Manick Govinda, Head of Artists' Advisory Services, Artsadmin: a unique producing organisation for contemporary artists working in theatre, dance, live art, visual arts, and mixed media.

Matthew Greenall, Executive Director, Sound and Music: the leading UK organisation for new music and sound, that has emerged from the British Music Information Centre, the Contemporary Music Network, Sonic Arts Network and Society for the Promotion of New Music.
