Press, reviews and comments

Rational Rec has been regularly listed and previewed in numerous cultural emailers and print magazines including Artists Web, Artsadmin e-digest, Critical Network, Flavorpill, Kultureflash, New Notes, New Work Network, Resonance FM forum, Stranger Magazine, The Wire and Tower Hamlets Arts and Events site.

The ICA had this to say about our Working Men's Art Quiz, and Kultureflash quite liked our Lachenmann recital at Whitechapel Art Gallery in March 2006. There was also the memorable Guardian Culture Vulture blog, where people felt their lives were in danger. Blimey.

An article by Dolan Cummings in February 2007 mentions Rational Rec in the context of other contemporary art and music scenes in London, the only complaint he could make being that there's not enough of us!

ArtForum's Alex Waterman voted us number 6 in his top ten Music Best of 2007 on artforum.com.

Kerry Andrew talked about our event at the Southbank Centre in New Notes.

Ivan Hewitt from the Daily Telegraph had these nice things to say about us in February 2008.

Regular supporters Time Out named us as one of the top 50 'Best Nights Out...Ever!' in Feburary 2006 and featured us in their article 'Cultural East London' in June 2008.

Rational Rec has also been immortalised in glorious technicolour - when we our February 2007 event was filmed as part of Classic Britannia, BBC Four's documentary on classical music in UK since 1945. And our Wilton's Music Hall event in June 2008 was the subject of a 90 min programme on BBC Radio 3's Hear and Now.
